Microsoft Internet Explorer 6 and Internet Explorer 7 requires users to click to activate embedded controls/applets (such as Java applets, Flash and ActiveX controls) since Aprk to activate embedded controls/applets (such as Java applets, Flash and ActiveX controls) since April 2006. This can lead to an annoying experience for users.
To resolve this issue, you can use an external javascript to load individual controls as detailed here. For large websites with many pages, it may be impractical to do so. ActivateAX is a JavaScript that provides a quick and convenient solution.
