The Password Editor verifies and validates new passwords on a number of levels:

1. Security Precaution: Users must supply their old password before specifying a new password.
2. Password Confirmation: Users must supply a new password and confirm their input.
3. Password Length: Passwords must exceed 5 characters in length.
4. Invalid Characters: Passwords may not contain whitespace characters (i.e. spaces, tabs, etc).
